Lion's Head Peak是位於Meinong District, Kaohsiung東北側的一座低海拔郊山，因為山頭輪廓貌似一隻蹲伏回首的獅子而得名。這裡海拔僅約 240 公尺，步道全程平緩、樹蔭茂密，From登山口出發只要 20 至 30 分鐘即可輕鬆攻頂，是Meinong 地區最友善的入門級郊山route。對入住 Hanyuan B&B 的旅客而言，這裡是晨起伸展、evening walk or夜間觀星的絕佳去處，更因為可 360 度遠眺Meinong 平原、雙溪樹海andChiwei Mountain稜線而成為在地私房Attractions。
Lion's Head Peak座落於Meinong District獅山里and中壇里交界，山頂最高點海拔約 240 公尺，山體屬於中央山脈末端的淺山丘陵地帶。當地流傳一個說法：相傳清朝乾隆年間Hakka先民渡過下淡水溪來到Meinong 開墾時，由南岸遠眺這座山頭，因山形酷似獅子張口回首，便將其命名為「Lion's Head Peak」，「頂」字在Hakka話中即代表山頂之意。日治時期這座山被劃為保安林，主要種植相思樹and樟樹，是Meinong 重要的林業資產之一；戰後則成為在地居民晨昏運動、孩童自然教材採集and假日踏青的重要場域。
From地形and植被來看，Lion's Head Peak的山徑穿越了低海拔次生林、林緣灌叢and開闢草坡三種生態區，沿途可觀察到相思樹、樟樹、血桐、構樹、野牡丹等典型淺山植物。春季時節山徑兩側會開出白色野百合and桃紅色的台灣野牡丹；夏季夜晚則有機會在樹林底層遇見螢火蟲點點飛舞；Autumn-winter 之際，當東北季風南下，山頂上可欣賞到雲海翻湧過Chiwei Mountain稜線的壯麗景觀，因為地理Location優越，是許多攝影愛好者口中的私房Attractions。
Lion's Head Peak的登山口位於獅山里產業道路旁，From Hanyuan B&B Driving only takes about 8 分鐘車程。登山口處有明顯的導覽牌and停車空間，建議自駕旅客將車輛整齊停放於產業道路路肩，避免阻礙當地居民通行。步道全長約 1.2 km, with an altitude climb of about 80 meters, mainly dirt roads, sleeper stairs and some ecological stone trails. There are rope handrails and direction indicators along the way. The signs are quite clear, so even first-time visitors will not easily get lost.
整個步道可分為三段：第一段From登山口到「獅身平台」，地形平緩、綠蔭成蔭，步行約 10 分鐘，是熱身的最佳路段；第二段From獅身平台至「獅背稜線」，坡度略陡但設有完整階梯，沿途可From不同角度欣賞Meinong 平原的田園風景，約 15 分鐘可達；第三段From獅背稜線至「獅頭峰」，是最後衝刺的短陡坡路段，登頂瞬間視野豁然開朗，遠處Chiwei Mountain稜線and中央山脈尾稜盡收眼底，是整段步道的高潮所在。
攻頂後的山頂腹地約有 30 平方公尺，設有方向指示牌and簡易休憩平台，但並無遮蔭，建議自備飲水and防曬用品。最推薦的玩法是「晨登日出」and「黃昏觀夜景」兩種時段：清晨 5 to 7 點間前往，可以看見霧氣緩緩FromMeinong 平原升起、太陽From中央山脈稜線後方探出頭；evening 5 to 7 點間前往，則可在山頂清楚看見旗山市區的萬家燈火，and遠處 Chiwei Mountain 山脊剪影相互輝映，是許多在地攝影玩家的口袋名單。
From Hanyuan B&B 前往Lion's Head Peak，旅客可選擇三種方式：
Suggested duration:含登山、休憩、拍照and下山，全程約 1.5 至 2 hours.如果是規劃一日遊，可以搭配 Shuangxi Arboretum、Meinong Lake or Meinung Folk Village，形成「晨登Lion's Head Peak → Morning round-lake walk at Meinong Lake → Hakka restaurant for lunch → 下午民俗村巡禮」的Meinong 經典route。
Lion's Head Peak最令遊客印象深刻的，是其「小而美」的攻頂視野。站在山頂 360 度環顧四周，可以清楚看見：
季節限定亮點：1 至 3 月的梅花and山櫻花點綴山徑兩側；4 至 5 月的野百合盛開；6 至 8 月夜間有機會在林緣觀賞螢火蟲；9 至 11 月則是雲海and夕陽的黃金拍攝期。建議喜愛攝影的朋友攜帶廣角鏡and腳架，在山頂捕捉日出的金色光線and旗山夜景的長曝光美照。

Lion's Head Peak海拔僅約 240 公尺，單程約 20-30 分鐘即可攻頂，步道平緩、樹蔭茂密，全家大小、甚至長輩and小朋友都能輕鬆完成，屬於入門級郊山route。
From Meinong Hanyuan B&B, drive along downtown Meinong towards Shixing. It takes only about 8 minutes to reach the trailhead. You can also set your Google Maps navigation to "Shixingding Trailhead".
Reaching the summit offers a 360-degree view of the Meinong Plain, the green sea of Shuangxi Arboretum, the distant ridge of Qiwei Mountain, and the lights of Qishan at night. It's recommended to visit in the early morning to enjoy the sunrise and sea of clouds, or in the evening to photograph the night view. Please bring a flashlight as a backup.
Shixingding is a regular suburban mountain and does not require a mountain entry permit. It is open 24 hours a day, but it's recommended to visit during the day for safety and to avoid traveling alone at night.
